David Dillard

Dillard is an artist and historic preservation architect living in New Orleans. He has a degree in Historic Preservation from Tulane University and has his own architectural practice. He also has been involved with the Vieux Carre Commission. He received his artistic training from Newcomb College Art School under Ronna Harris and favors a form of urban realism, taking the everyday as subject. With a superb sense of draftsmanship, Dillard records the rich architectural heritage of New Orleans with the precision of an architect’s eye and an artist’s sensitivity.
