A native New Orleanian, Leslie’s art has evolved over the past 30 years as she recognized her passion for painting. A graduate of Metairie Park Country Day School and Vanderbilt University, she experimented with aesthetics and technique, and became inspired through art history and criticism. The rich Louisiana culture and life experiences, approaching art as a spiritual endeavor and seeing the world through the eyes of the children she teaches have transformed her artistically as she has refined her personal style and found her visual voice. Her work is characterized by vibrant colors and texture in her depiction of landmarks and activities unique to Louisiana. Dudley’s work has been featured in regional publications such as Louisiana Life, Gambit and the Times Picayune. She teaches children’s art at Christ Episcopal School and makes art at her home on the Bogue Falaya River in Covington.
