Oscar Quesada

Oscar Quesada, with a part time studio in New Orleans and currently living in Dallas, interprets the traditional romance of the New Orleans scene. He reminds the viewer of the human dimension of New Orleans’ celebrated landmarks and icons. It is a fresh and exciting vision of the old favorites that Quesada brings so much passion and dedication to his painting. His unique style redefines modern expressionism. With distinctive and bizarre torque, the compositions recall the California shaken ground style of the 1970’s and also bear resemblance to edgy urban graffiti art. The effect, however, is vital and optimistic! Long a disciple of the work of Vincent Van Gogh, Quesada has a compelling sense of his place in the evolution and definition of the contemporary art scene.
